ProBoards v5 Officially Launched!


We are extremely happy to announce that after over four years of development our new forum software, ProBoards v5, is officially launched! ProBoards Version 5 Coming Soon!


ProBoards v5, our next generation forum software, will be officially released on April 29th. This update is free, and requires no action from you.  At this time all forums will begin upgrading to version 5. This new version has literally over a thousand new features but still includes everything that you’ve come to know and love about our forums!  Here are some of the notable new features you can expect:

Live Search – When viewing a board or a topic you can type in your search term and the content on the page will update live on your screen!  We’re taking search to the next level with this update.

Plugins – Customize your forum with ease! No more complicated codes, just install the plugin and adjust its settings in an easy-to-use graphical interface.

Themes – Import a theme from our easy to use Theme Library (coming soon!), or create your own and make it available to anyone!

Global Login – Do you have multiple accounts? All of your ProBoards forum accounts can now be linked together, with the ability to switch between them easily!

Navigation – Browse your forum your way. Moving between boards, even categories, is a single click!

And so many more!

If you want to try out version 5 head over to http://www.proboards.com/betazone and sign up. You can try out the v5 and make a copy of your current forum or an entirely new one where you can experiment and try out the new features.

Do you think you and your members are ready for v5? You can convert right now during the Beta. Go to your admin control panel and click the link to upgrade. Don’t forget that you can go to the ProBoards Support Forum for any help you need or questions you want answered.

Not ready to upgrade? No problem! Visit the upgrade page on your admin panel, select the opt-out option and your forum will remain in v4 until 2014.

ProBoards v5 Launch Date Announced!


We are proud to announce that on ProBoards v5 will officially be launched on April 29th, 2013!  Our next generation forum software comes with thousands of improvements and enhancements to your forum experience.

We have even more good news for you: The next phase of our Open Beta will start on January 28th.  This phase will allow you early access to upgrade your existing forums to ProBoards v5!  This means you can get all of the great features ProBoards v5 has to offer as early as next month!

For those that can’t wait until the end of January to upgrade their forum, we will be announcing a contest soon that will allow you to upgrade even sooner.  Stay tuned for full details!
